Strategic Partnerships

Building Coordinated Solutions Together

No single organization can address the complexity of exploitation, trafficking, and trauma alone. PRAI actively seeks partnerships across sectors to build the coordinated, survivor-centered networks that create lasting, systemic change.

Our Approach

Partnership as a Core Strategy

Strategic partnerships are not peripheral to PRAI's model — they are central to it. The survivors we serve often require support that spans multiple systems simultaneously: housing, healthcare, legal aid, mental health, employment, and community connection. No single organization can provide all of that alone.

PRAI is designed to function as a coordinating hub — building the relationships, protocols, and shared frameworks that allow partner organizations to work together more effectively on behalf of the people they serve.

We welcome partnerships with organizations of all sizes and types — from grassroots community groups to national institutions — provided they share our commitment to survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and ethically grounded practice.

Who We Partner With

Partnership Types

PRAI builds partnerships across six sectors, each contributing a distinct and essential dimension to our coordinated approach to survivor support and systemic change.

Social Services & Community Organizations

Frontline organizations, shelters, transition houses, and community support agencies are among our most essential partners. Together we build coordinated referral networks and integrated service pathways that ensure survivors receive seamless, trauma-informed support.

Examples

  • Referral and intake coordination
  • Joint case management protocols
  • Shared client support frameworks
  • Community outreach collaboration

Healthcare & Mental Health

Healthcare providers, mental health clinicians, and addiction services play a critical role in survivor recovery. PRAI partners with health organizations to ensure that medical and psychological care is integrated into the broader continuum of survivor support.

Examples

  • Trauma-informed care coordination
  • Mental health referral pathways
  • Addiction and recovery service integration
  • Healthcare provider education and training

Legal & Justice Sector

Survivors navigating the legal system require specialized, compassionate support. PRAI works with legal aid organizations, victim services, and justice sector partners to ensure survivors have access to informed legal guidance and advocacy throughout their journey.

Examples

  • Legal aid referral networks
  • Victim services coordination
  • Court support and accompaniment
  • Justice system navigation assistance

Government & Public Sector

Systemic change requires engagement at every level of government. PRAI partners with municipal, provincial, and federal bodies to inform policy, support legislative reform, and ensure that survivor-centered approaches are embedded in public systems and funding frameworks.

Examples

  • Policy development and consultation
  • Government-funded program delivery
  • Legislative advocacy and reform
  • Public sector training and education

Academic & Research Institutions

Evidence-informed practice is central to PRAI's model. We partner with universities, research institutes, and policy organizations to generate the knowledge base needed to understand exploitation, evaluate interventions, and drive systemic improvement.

Examples

  • Joint research projects and publications
  • Student practicum and internship placements
  • Knowledge translation and dissemination
  • Grant co-applications and funding partnerships

Corporate & Private Sector

Businesses and corporations have a meaningful role to play in combating exploitation and supporting survivor recovery. PRAI welcomes corporate partners who share our values and are committed to ethical, survivor-centered community investment.

Examples

  • Corporate sponsorship and philanthropy
  • Employee volunteer programs
  • Pro bono professional services
  • Workplace awareness and education

The Process

How Partnership Works

We have designed a straightforward, collaborative process for establishing partnerships — one that respects your time and ensures alignment from the outset.

01

Initial Inquiry

Reach out through our contact form or directly by email to express your interest in partnering with PRAI. Tell us about your organization and the type of partnership you have in mind.

02

Exploratory Conversation

We will schedule a conversation to learn more about your organization, your work, and how a partnership with PRAI might create mutual value and shared impact.

03

Partnership Development

Together we will define the scope, structure, and goals of the partnership — whether that takes the form of an MOU, a service agreement, a research collaboration, or another arrangement.

04

Formalization & Launch

Once terms are agreed upon, we formalize the partnership through appropriate documentation and begin the collaborative work that will drive our shared mission forward.

Partnerships are formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) or equivalent agreement that clearly defines roles, responsibilities, and shared goals.
